Description

The Waffle House Book Nook is a pocket-sized slice of America, compressed into the width of a bookshelf and the warmth of a late-night diner. A lightly ridiculous homage, this piece transforms the humble book nook into a stage for a cultural icon that has fed generations of tired workers and hungry college students. While living abroad this model is a small book shelf sized reminder of home, not in the form of a grand monument but rather the simple unpretentious comfort of a diner always open and ready to serve. In the keeping with the spirit of making, this model is designed to be painted by hand and printed without AMS to give it the natural unperfect charm that a real diner has.

Additionally, I’d also love to share the “Waffle House Index,” because it’s a hilariously American way of measuring the world through a diner
