clock gear
Print Profile(1)

Description
Here is a simple model that allows you to actually observe how the minute hand and hour hand move. On Plate 1, the 32‑tooth gear is fixed to the 10‑tooth gear (the cannon pinion). On Plate 2, the 30‑tooth gear (to which the hour hand is attached) and the 8‑tooth gear (connected to the minute hand and its shaft) are mounted.
All parts can be printed on a single plate, but I used different colors for the hour and minute hands to make them easier to see.
In addition to white and black filament, you will need an adhesive that can bond PLA—such as Acrylic Sunday—and a φ4.2 mm drill bit for widening the holes.
