Description

Recently as the result of a freak accident, the knob to my Brondell Swash Ecoseat broke. In a rush, I quickly printed off the first and only knob I found and used that temporarily. Alas, I found myself dissatisfied with the feel of the imposter knob and attempted to repair the old one. With that not working, I investigated the construction of the original, discovering that it was simply a metal ring glued to a plastic core with a sticker on top. So with some heat and gentle persuasion, I removed the metal ring, measured every inch of the plastic core, and made the copy I now present to you here.

Instructions on regaining the familiar feel of the old knob are as follows:

  1. Remove the sticker from the face of the original (carefully, as the backing holds the color).
  2. Remove the metal ring from the original plastic core.
  3. Print the clone core.
  4. Replace the sticker, then the metal ring.
  5. Affix to your toilet and return to civilized life.
