This bust depicts Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, a central figure of German and European literature. Poet, playwright, novelist, and thinker, Goethe profoundly shaped Western culture through an extensive body of work, including Faust, The Sorrows of Young Werther, and numerous philosophical and scientific writings.
The model is inspired by the most iconic and widely recognized photograph of the figure, translated here into a faithful sculptural interpretation. Facial proportions, the calm and contemplative expression, and the overall facial structure have been carefully preserved to convey Goethe’s intellectual depth and quiet authority.
