Description

A purpose-built vise block for AICS short action rifles - ideal for mounting optics, cleaning, barrel changes, and general gunsmithing. Locks in place via the mag catch; press release to remove

There are plenty of vise blocks for AR platforms, but I couldn't find one for AICS pattern rifles, so I designed one. Fits any chassis or stock using standard AICS short action magazine wells (Ruger American/Precision, Remington 700, Weatherby Vanguard, Bergara, Tikka, Howa, Savage, etc.).

I printed mine in PETG-CF at 40% infill to handle torque during muzzle device installation. If you're just using it for cleaning or light work, PLA at lower infill will be fine. ABS or PETG-HF should also work well.

Enjoy!

could I use this as a single shot sled adapter (allowing me to open the bolt and place a single round in from the ejection port). I run a short action 300 blackout with AICS mag compatibility in a MDT chassis. if this will work, awesome. if not, could you modify your file to work for me? either way, a Boost is coming your way in either event. thanks!

I don't see why not! If this mag is compatible with your chassis and seats properly, you should be able to block the magwell with the vise block, insert a round, fire, cycle the bolt/eject the round, and repeat. The vise block shouldn't hinder the bolt's travel or impact ejection. If it does, let me know, and I'll modify it for you. Maybe print out a snap cap in 300 BO, try it out, and let me know how it goes.
