Description

A lightweight and ultra-sturdy battery holder specifically designed for the Odyssey PC680 (or similar sized batteries). This mount is designed to hold the battery in a flat (horizontal) position, lowering the center of gravity and making it easier to tuck into tight spaces.

This design has been extensively tested in drift applications, handling high G-forces and vibrations without any issues.

🔩 Hardware Required

To secure the top and bottom brackets, you will need:
* Bolts: 4x M10 x 110mm (Steel recommended).
* Versatility: The mounting holes are designed for M10 bolts, but M8 or M12 bolts can also be used depending on your chassis anchor points.
* Compatibility: The mounting footprint corresponds to standard commercial lithium battery brackets, making it a "drop-in" replacement for many existing setups.

🛠️ Printing Recommendations

  • Material: * Best: PA6-CF (Carbon Fiber Nylon) for maximum heat resistance and rigidity.
    • Alternative: PETG is strong enough for most applications if you are not mounting it directly next to a high-heat source (like a turbo/manifold).
  • Infill: 40% to 50% (Gyroid or Honeycomb for structural integrity).
  • Walls: 4 to 6 wall lines for maximum strength around the bolt pass-throughs.
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm.

🏁 Track Tested

Tested on a drift car with aggressive driving. The battery remains perfectly locked in place even during hard transitions and heavy wall taps.
