This Salentina Cassarmonica is born as a tribute to the traditional architecture of Southern Italy and takes on new life transforming into a decorative LED lamp with a strong scenic impact.

The project was designed to combine aesthetics, modularity, and printability.

🔧 The Project

  • Dome, columns, and base designed to enhance LED light
  • Soft and diffused light effect, ideal as an ambient light
  • Compatible with LED Kit 001

🖨️ Printability

During development, I tested some optimizations using modifiers at critical points (columns and dome) to:

  • improve quality
  • reduce the risk of failures
  • optimize time and material
  • I increased the perimeters to 3 and the infill to 15% to prevent the gyroid pattern from being visible through the light.

The model may seem complex at first glance (thin columns + dome), but for faster printing sacrificing details, the project is Printable even without supports and without modifiers.

⚙️ Printing Tips (general)

  • Layer height: standard or fine to enhance details
  • Reduce Z-hop to prevent column oscillation
  • Light color recommended for better light diffusion

(everyone is free to experiment)

💬 Feedback, suggestions, and modifications are more than welcome

The cassarmonica is a symbol of sharing, and this project aims to be the same.

✨ Why print it?

  • It's a unique decorative object
  • It tells a story
  • It combines tradition and 3D printing
  • It sheds light, literally and metaphorically 😉

If you print it, share the photos: I am very curious to see your versions.
