I have added a new print profile (V2) specifically optimized for maximum stability:
• 0.8 mm thick strings: The threads are now significantly more robust and hold firmly without wobbling.
• Optimized Infill: For an even better connection to the frame.
• Tested: V2 has been successfully printed and stands absolutely stable.
This String Art Cross is a decorative object with fine, radially arranged "strings" that give the motif a special depth and lightness.
Ideal as a modern decoration for living rooms, shelves, or sideboards. The model is deliberately filigree in design and thrives on the tension and precision of the printed threads.
- Important Print & Safety Notes:
To achieve the best result and avoid frustration, please strictly observe the following points:
No Scaling: Please do not change the size of the model. The thickness of the strings is precisely calculated for standard nozzles. When scaled, they lose their stability and can tear. - Calibration is Mandatory: Ensure that your printer (especially flow and pressure advance) is well calibrated so that the fine threads are printed cleanly.
- Temperature Limit: When using PLA, use a print bed temperature of a maximum of 55°C. Higher temperatures can make the material too soft, which affects the tension of the strings.
- Patience when Detaching: Remove the print plate immediately from the printer after printing and let it cool completely for at least 10 minutes.
- Careful Detachment: Bend the plate only very slightly and remove the model extremely carefully from the print bed. The threads are delicate when warm!
- Print Option: Set wall generator to Arachne, if not already set.
