Description

This is a fully 3D printed modular chassis designed according to the Open Robotic Platform (ORP) design rules. It features the standard ORP 20mm grid system, ensuring that all holes are distributed every 20mm in each direction for maximum compatibility with other modules and holders.

Key Technical Details:

  • Motors: Designed for JGY370 DC motors, but the modular nature of the platform allows you to swap holders for different motor types.
  • Tracks: Fully 3D printable using TPU for grip and durability.
  • Hardware: Uses standard 608 bearings and M8 screws to mount the wheels.
  • Adjustability: The internal connectors can be replaced to accommodate more or less space between the plates, depending on your electronics setup. The plates themselves can be 3D printed, CNC machined, or laser cut.

Open Robotic Platform (ORP): This project is part of a larger ecosystem aimed at making robotics easy with simple design rules. You can find more parts, mounts, and sensors at: https://openroboticplatform.com/

Files & STEP Model: While this upload contains the STL files for printing, the full STEP assembly and original source files can be found on the ORP library here: https://openroboticplatform.com/part:216
