This 3D-printed cover was specially developed for a trailer's tow eye and designed for practical use by our fire department. It serves to protect the tow eye from dirt, dust, moisture, and mechanical influences, thus contributing to the preservation of its value and the safe handling of the trailer.
The model is precisely designed and can be easily placed on or removed from the tow eye without additional tools. Thanks to its robust construction, the cover is ideal for demanding everyday use, even under adverse weather conditions. 3D printing also enables fast and cost-effective spare part production directly when needed.
The cover is functionally designed, intentionally kept simple, and built for durability. Depending on the printing material used (e.g., PETG, ASA, or TPU), it can be optimally adapted to the respective operating conditions.
Areas of Application:
- Trailers (we use it for our VSA trailer at the fire department)
- Protection of the tow eye when not in use
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
Note:
This model was designed for the fire department's own use and tested in practice.
