Japandi-inspired decorative vase set with layered surface structure
KŌTETSU is a set of three sculptural vases defined by a layered pattern of diagonal lines that wrap continuously around each form. All three pieces share the same underlying geometry, creating a cohesive presence while allowing subtle variation across the set.
Two of the vases introduce smooth, uninterrupted outlines that cut through the patterned surface, forming areas of contrast in depth and texture. This interplay between structured layering and calm planes gives each vase its own character while maintaining a restrained, unified expression. Designed with Japandi minimalism in mind, KŌTETSU emphasizes balance, material presence, and quiet detail, making the set well suited for contemporary interiors as individual objects or as a composed group.
