This model features a pipe carved from a material resembling dragon bone, adorned with scales and a menacing dragon head. It is the ultimate accessory for any Bard, Wizard, or Dungeon Master looking to add immersion to their table or cosplay.
Model Features
- High Detail: The scales and dragon teeth are modeled to print perfectly.
- Cosplay Ready: I have modified the design to include a suspension loop at the bottom. This allows you to easily attach it to a belt, a backpack, or hang it from a leather cord as a charm.
- Lore Accurate: The design is inspired by the original illustration of this legendary magic item.
Recommended Print Settings
To achieve the best results (similar to the photos), here are my recommendations:
- Material: PLA (Use "Bone White", "Marble", or Matte White for a realistic bone look without painting).
- Layer Height: 0.06mm with 0,2mm nozzle or 0.12mm with 0,4mm nozzle (essential for defining the teeth and scales).
- Supports: Already set in the 3MF file. I highly recommend Tree Supports for easier removal, especially around the dragon's jaw.
- Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid).
- Orientation: I already splitted the model in two halves. But I also have included full model to let you arrange the print to your liking.
Post-Processing & Painting
This model looks great raw, but a little painting makes it legendary:
- Use a brown or sepia wash to darken the recesses between the scales.
- Paint the metal bands and the inside of the bowl in Gold/Brass.
- Add a small metal jump ring to the bottom loop for easy hanging.
