Bat Signal Spotlight Lamp
Bat Signal Spotlight Lamp is a 3D-printed spotlight-style lamp inspired by the iconic Bat-Signal, designed as a functional and decorative desk or display light.
The lamp features a cylindrical spotlight housing with side pivots, allowing smooth rotation, mounted on a structural support frame and a round base. Inside the spotlight, a conical inner reflector is included and designed to be lined with adhesive aluminum foil to efficiently reflect and direct the light forward.
Light Source
This lamp is designed to use a standard E14 screw bulb.
Small LED bulbs, such as E14 refrigerator bulbs (around 300 lumens), work especially well for this design.
The lamp can also be used with E14 LED bulbs without the plastic diffuser dome. The diffuser can be carefully removed, leaving the LEDs exposed inside the spotlight housing without affecting functionality, as the reflector and housing provide proper containment.
Socket & Stencil Template
A standard E14 lamp socket is mounted inside the spotlight housing.
Since many E14 sockets do not include a retaining ring or pre-drilled mounting holes, this design includes a stencil template to assist with accurate marking and drilling.
- Socket fixing: 2 or 4 × M3 screws
- Hole layout: cross pattern
- Hole spacing: 37 mm between opposite holes (center-to-center)
The stencil ensures correct alignment and compatibility with a wide range of E14 socket models.
Cable Management
The lamp includes an integrated cable routing and strain relief system:
- The power cable enters through the round base
- It passes into the structural frame through a widened internal channel
- This space allows tying a strain-relief knot, preventing the cable from being pulled out or damaged during use
A bottom cap is included to close and protect the cable exit underneath the base.
Assembly & Hardware
Required hardware:
- 6 × M2 screws (≈10 mm length)
To attach the front bezel to the spotlight housing - 4 × M2 screws (≈10 mm length)
To attach the pivot brackets to the support frame
(slightly shorter screws can also be used) - 4 × M2 screws (≈10 mm length)
To attach the support frame to the round base - 2–4 × M3 screws
To fix the E14 lamp socket inside the housing
Material & Usage Notes
This lamp has been successfully printed and tested in PLA, which works well for normal decorative use.
Please note:
- This lamp is not intended to remain powered on for many hours continuously
- With prolonged use, heat from the LED bulb may cause slight deformation near the front lens area when printed in PLA
- Using higher temperature-resistant materials (such as PETG, ABS, or ASA) can reduce or eliminate this effect
The model is designed primarily as a decorative and occasional-use lamp, not as a permanent lighting fixture.
Print profiles with properly oriented build plates are provided, along with individual STL files, to ensure reliable printing and easy assembly.
MH001 LED Lamp Kit Compatibility
This model now includes an optional version compatible with the MH001 LED Lamp Kit by Bambu Lab.
Two modified parts are included to replace the standard bulb housing components, allowing direct installation of the MH001 LED module.
Available versions:
- E14 bulb version
- MH
- 001 LED Kit version
This makes the model fully compatible with both traditional E14 bulbs and the official Bambu LED kit.

Lamp Holder and Stencil Template
A standard E14 lamp holder is used, fixed inside the spotlight body
Since many E14 lamp holders do not include a retaining ring or pre-drilled mounting holes, the design incorporates a stencil template to facilitate accurate marking and drilling
- Lamp holder fixing: 2 or 4 M3 screws
- Hole arrangement: cross pattern
- Separation: 37 mm between opposite holes (center-to-center measurement)
The stencil ensures correct alignment and compatibility with different E14 lamp holder models
Cable Management
The design includes an integrated cable routing and strain relief system:
- The cable enters through the round base
- It is introduced into the structure through a wider internal channel
- This space allows for a safety knot, preventing the cable from coming out or being damaged by pulling
A bottom cap is included to close and protect the cable exit at the bottom of the base
