Description
This is a snap-on / edge-mounted light shade designed for the Aqua Illumination Prime.
It installs directly on the outer rim of the light for a clean, integrated look—no screws, no tools, and no permanent modifications.
The shade is designed not to block airflow and does not interfere with the Prime’s air intakes or cooling, so the fixture can still ventilate normally.
Why use it?
- Reduces light spill into the room (less glare and “light bleed”)
- Keeps light focused into the aquarium where it belongs
- Perfect for Prime Fuge / refugium setups: helps prevent unwanted light hitting the skimmer section or other sump chambers, which can reduce algae growth outside the refugium
