Amelia Earhart (Lady Lindy) – Bust

This bust portrays Amelia Earhart, an emblematic figure of 20th-century aviation and a true icon of audacity and female emancipation. Nicknamed Lady Lindy in reference to Charles Lindbergh, she was the first woman to cross the Atlantic by plane as a passenger, then the first to do so solo, definitively cementing her name in the history of global aviation

The bust is directly inspired by Amelia Earhart's most iconic photograph, the one that shaped her enduring public image: a determined, calm, and forward-looking face. The proportions, expression, and facial features have been faithfully reproduced, without idealization, to convey the quiet strength and resolute personality of the figure

The sculptural approach emphasizes clear volumes and distinct planes, consistent with classical statuary. The hair and facial features are deliberately simplified and structured to enhance form readability and ensure a coherent sculptural interpretation, making it ideal for 3D printing. The bust includes only the head and upper torso, resting on a simple, discreet plinth designed to highlight the face without distracting from the subject
