This reversible marking clip is used for quickly marking breathing air cylinders that
🔧 are due for inspection (TÜV due) or
❌ need to be marked as defective.
Especially in breathing apparatus workshops, this clip ensures clear conditions and immediately visible information, so that cylinders requiring inspection or having damage are not accidentally put into use.
Labeling
✅ Side 1: TÜV
❌ Side 2: Defective
The clip – like my other variants – is clamped around the bottle neck and clearly shows the status of the bottle.
Area of Application
Ideal for:
- Breathing apparatus workshops
- Equipment attendants
- Inspection and maintenance areas
- Storage of bottles requiring inspection or with damage
Print Notes
⚠️ An AMS is required for printing (multicolor printing).
The design consists of:
- a white core
- a white border to protect the color edges
- a colored surface with white text for high readability and good stability
Total thickness: 1.4 mm
(2× 0.4 mm color layer + 0.6 mm white core)
Due to the low material thickness, the clip is also sufficiently flexible with PLA.

- Total thickness: 1.4 mm
Material Recommendation
I had the clips (made of PLA) tested in two large breathing apparatus workshops over a longer period.
Even with PLA, no significant signs of wear were observed with proper use.
✅ PLA works well
✅ PETG is recommended if the clip is frequently twisted/bent (more durable)
Note
This version complements my other marking clips (e.g., FULL / EMPTY) and is specifically intended for workshop and inspection marking.
