Description

DOGS ~ "East Side Ruffians” Canine vs Feline ~ : #21

Yes—his name really is King.

The one his humans gave him the day he came home.

Joe and Nora were empty-nesters. Their sons were grown, the house was quiet, and something was missing. One morning over coffee, Nora said, “Let’s get a dog. A shelter dog. Let’s save a life.” Joe didn’t hesitate.

King turned out to be a Great Dane–Mastiff mix—big, joyful, slightly uncoordinated, and full of gratitude. Exactly the kind of chaos they didn’t know they needed. He adored his humans completely and ruled not by dominance, but by thankfulness.

His closest friend was Little Tinker, a fearless Chihuahua next door with far more confidence than sense. One afternoon, between backyard games, Tinker casually mentioned dogs and cats forming chess teams.

King listened.

That moment marks the true beginning of the King of the East Side Ruffians.

 Consider 'Annealing' your chess set.

Annealing your PLA models can improve strength by 10–20%. If you plan to use the set regularly, I highly recommend it. For display or occasional play, annealing is optional, and the appearance and finish remain unchanged.

Also . . .

You may want to alter the size of these chess pieces.  Here is some information I found for that:

Chess Piece Size Comparisons:

• King = 100%

• Queen = 88% to 92% of King

• Bishop = 78% to 82% of King

• Knight = 75% to 78% of King

• Rook = 70% to 72% of King

• Pawn = 53% to 55% of King

Hello Dogluvr. (I too love dogs!) Apparently you are using a smart phone or tablet to print. I suspect you are using a smart phone or tablet to print these. I am sorry to say I do not have any idea how those two systems work for printing MakerWorld Models. But, rest assured figuring out the "how" for them I will tackle today. In the meantime, to print less or a single item, or two items; On a single plate (the square) where the pieces are all sitting on, you would MOVE all the pieces OFF the plate to the side. They will still be there so long as you do not delete any of them. Place the items you want to print back on the plate. Print. Reset all the pieces back, choose the next ones you want to print. Print, then repeat. Working on a computer with Bambu Lab app you can ADD as many PLATES as you like. Moving the pieces to where you want them. Hope this helps. ~Clyde
