Description

🛡️ The Bone Sentinel - Skeletal Warrior (Classic Series)

"Eternal watchmen of the forgotten tombs. They do not tire, they do not flee, and their shields have broken the charge of a thousand heroes."

Expand your Undead Army with the Bone Sentinel. This variant is the frontline backbone of the Classic Series, equipped with a jagged shortsword and a heavy, spiked round shield. It captures the gritty, weathered aesthetic of a warrior who has spent centuries guarding the silent halls of the necropolis.

📏 Scale & Base

  • Scale: 32mm Heroic.
  • Base: 32mm integrated scenic round base with a rocky, bone-strewn texture.

⚙️ Print Settings (Ultra-Detail Profile)

This model is designed to push the limits of FDM printing:

  • Resolution (Layer Height): 0.08mm (Essential to capture the wood grain on the shield and the skeletal ribs).
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm.
  • Infill: 15% Gyroid.
  • Supports: Tree Supports (Auto).

⚠️ Post-Processing & Support Warning

Pay close attention to the lower part of the model:

  • Critical Area: The lower part of the tattered clothing (loincloth) features very fine, shredded fabric edges.
  • Removal: These "shreds" are extremely delicate at 0.08mm. Use sharp flush cutters and snip the support branches one by one. Do not pull the supports away, or you risk snapping the hanging parts of the dress.
  • The Shield Spikes: Be careful around the spikes on the shield rim; they are sharp and can catch on the supports.

🎨 Painting Tips

  • The Shield: Use a dark brown for the wood and a rusted iron effect for the spikes and rim.
  • The Dress: A dirty, weathered grey or deep purple works best for the rags, finished with a dry brush of light tan to highlight the torn edges.
  • The Bones: Apply a "Skeleton Bone" base followed by a brown wash to bring out the realistic bone texture.

Technical & Creative Note: This design is based on an AI generation (Tripo) that I have manually refined and tested on FDM prints to ensure printability and quality. The featured photo is of the actual physical print. I’ve included AI-colored renders only as a visual reference for those who wish to paint the miniature.

🛠️ Support the Process!

💡 What you see is what you get: Unlike many profiles that only upload digital renders of unprintable models, every single design here is fully test-printed, refined in Blender/Meshmixer, and optimized for FDM before release.

I spend hours tweaking geometries, custom supports, and wasting my own filament so that you can enjoy a flawless, hassle-free print on your first try.

If my test-printing hours saved your time and filament, feel free to keep my printers running and fuel the next project! Any support is greatly appreciated: paypal.me/mjrko84
