We all love those iconic star spikes in the JWST images, don't we? As a fan of that aesthetic, I designed the JW×S5 to bring that same magic to the Seestar S50.
【Update: Back in Action】 The stacking issues caused by previous firmware (v6.70) have been resolved. I have confirmed that stacking now works smoothly with Firmware v7.32.
A Note on the Sample Images: I am finally able to share some test shots! Unfortunately, since the peak season for my favorite targets—like the Horsehead Nebula and the Pleiades—is already ending, these images don't show the nebulae as bright and vivid as they truly can be. If it were peak season, the results would be far more spectacular! However, you can still see how perfectly the JWST-style spikes are generated. I invite you to try this mask and experience the cinematic "spice" for yourself.
Design Concept:
- Hexagonal Layout: Inspired by the JWST primary mirror for 6 main spikes.
- "Whisker" Lines: Two extra lines to complete the authentic diffraction pattern.
Print Settings:
- Nozzle: 0.4mm / Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Wall Loops: 2 / Infill: 15%
- Print Time: ~24 min (approx. 8g of filament)
