This upload includes a sculpture of Saint Benedict of Nursia, the Patron Saint of Europe, along with a high-definition model of the Saint Benedict Medal.
The Statue
The model captures the classic iconography of the Saint, depicted with a long beard, holding the pastoral staff (symbolizing his authority as an Abbot) and the book of the Rule. At his feet are the Raven and the Chalice, symbols of two famous miracles from his life.
🛡️ The Medal and Exorcism
Included in the files is the famous "Jubilee Medal." This is not merely a piece of jewelry; in the Catholic tradition, it is recognized as a powerful tool for spiritual protection.
The medal is unique because it carries a prayer of exorcism inscribed on its reverse side. For centuries, it has been used to ward off evil spirits and protect the faithful from temptation.
⚠️ A Note on Faith: It is important to understand that the Medal is not a magic amulet or a good luck charm. It does not have power in itself. Instead, it is a "sacramental": a sacred sign that prepares us to receive grace. It is effective only through the user's faith in God and a prayerful life.

📖 History & Symbolism
Born in Norcia (Italy) around 480 AD, Benedict withdrew from the chaotic life of Rome to live as a hermit in Subiaco, eventually founding the famous Abbey of Monte Cassino. He is renowned for his Rule, summarized by the motto "Ora et Labora" (Pray and Work).
Why the Raven and the Chalice? These elements tell the story of two attempts on the Saint's life:
The Shattered Chalice: Some monks, resentful of his strict discipline, tried to poison his wine. When Benedict made the sign of the cross to bless it, the glass chalice shattered as if hit by a stone.
The Raven: An envious priest named Florentius sent him a poisoned loaf of bread. Benedict commanded a raven to pick up the bread and fly it to a place where it could harm no one.
🙏 The Prayer of Exorcism
The reverse side of the medal carries the initials of the Latin verses known as the Vade Retro Satana ("Begone, Satan"). This is the ancient formula of exorcism used against spiritual attacks:
Latin:
Crux Sancta Sit Mihi Lux / Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux Vade Retro Satana / Numquam Suade Mihi Vana Sunt Mala Quae Libas / Ipse Venena Bibas
English:
May the Holy Cross be my light / Let not the dragon be my guide Begone Satan / Never tempt me with your vanities What you offer me is evil / Drink the poison yourself
⚠️ WARNING: Support Removal This statue features delicate details (especially the staff and the raven). To avoid breakage, I highly recommend starting to remove supports from the BASE and working your way up slowly.
Do not pull supports forcefully.
Use flush cutters to carefully free the raven and the hands first.
