I designed this for my folding chairs from JYSK. However, I designed them as a parametric model so that I could get it just right for my chair (and as a result, you can customize it for your foot/tube-cover needs as well!)
The following parameters can be customized:
- Diameter of the cover
- Thickness of the walls
- An optional square foot
- foot thickness
- An optional locking peg
- Peg dimensions
- Angle of peg (in my chair's case the peg hole was at an angle to the floor so I needed to adjust to make the foot sit flat)
- x offset for peg (I wanted to make my feet have a bit more surface area but didn't wnat them to extend past the rounded corners of the chair)
Basically, the rear “leg” (see photos) had two very flimsy covers on it that were made out of a hard plastic and when guests sat in it my way-too-soft pine floors got dents in them. I printed these with 95a TPU (using the included profile) and have had no problems with durability or floor damage since!
