3mm Basswood Riser for Laser Engraving

For those of us who laser engrave or cut wood, even well-dialed-in settings can still produce charring or incomplete cuts due to natural variations in the material. These risers are designed to lift the wood slightly off the cutting surface, creating an increased airflow gap underneath.

Even when using a honeycomb bed or slats, airflow restrictions and back-burning can still occur. This system helps reduce those issues by improving air circulation beneath the workpiece, resulting in cleaner cuts and less char on the underside.

The risers are reversible, allowing you to adjust the height depending on which face is placed down. Corner versions with 90-degree angles are also included to provide stable support and consistent spacing along edges. Cleaner cuts = less post-production work!
