Boost Me (for free)

If you like this model please boost me - it doesn't cost you anything and supports my work for you. Thank you!

I live right on the edge of the forest - as the days got colder last year, we were plagued by a stink bug infestation coming from the forest. The insects can apparently smell the warmer air escaping through my windows' ventilation/condensate drain openings, then crawl through the openings and repeatedly make themselves comfortable in the window frames. Enough was enough, and I developed a mechanical barrier.

This is the outer version of my mechanical barrier. The original cover for my Internorm windows is simply replaced by this one. Printing should be done with PETG or another UV-resistant material. The covers have 2 hooks which, due to their small size, can be printed with no supports. I printed the entire thing - to get a nice smooth surface - with the Bambulab Engineering Plate. I use the liquid Bambulab glue stick so that the PETG print can later be easily removed from the printing plate.

For other window brands with different ventilation opening sizes, the print can simply be scaled up or down with Bambulab.

Have fun printing, and hopefully, you'll get rid of your pesky vermin too!

PS: ATTENTION: See also the inner version of my insect barrier here - I use both insect barriers together for maximum effectiveness.
