Betta cage

The cage was designed specifically for breeding and maintaining Bettas, prioritizing lightness, material economy, and excellent water circulation. Its fully open design ensures a cleaner, healthier, and more functional environment for the fish.
The structure has a rectangular shape, with side walls composed exclusively of uniform vertical bars, maintaining regular spacing that allows water to pass through without allowing the animal to escape. The bars are thin but resistant, offering security without making the model heavy or excessively robust.
The bottom is completely open, formed by a cross-mesh in a checkered pattern, ideal for allowing waste and debris to fall through, preventing the accumulation of dirt inside the cage. This system contributes to better hygiene and reduces the need for frequent maintenance.
At the top, the cage features only a thin structural rim, which ensures stability and maintains the overall shape, without blocking light entry or water circulation.
One of the model's differentiating features is its side interlocking system, consisting of a male side (pin) and a female side (socket), allowing multiple cages to be connected side by side. This way, it is possible to assemble sets with two, three, or more units, creating organized modules for breeding facilities or larger aquariums.
The design was developed with 3D printing in PETG in mind, not requiring the use of supports, which facilitates printing and reduces material consumption. The result is a simple, functional, modular, and efficient cage, ideal for both domestic and professional use.
