Description

This is a lightweight and robust mount designed specifically for the Dronavia parachute safety system on the DJI Mavic 3 series. Whether you are doing professional aerial work (SORA/Lucid) or just want an extra layer of safety, this mount provides a secure attachment point without interfering with the drone's sensors or flight characteristics.

This mount was meticulously reverse-engineered in Fusion 360 based on the original Dronavia part to ensure 1:1 scale accuracy and 100% compatibility. I've optimized the geometry for 3D printing (FDM) to make it stronger in critical stress points while maintaining the exact original mounting tolerances. Tested for professional use in surveying and aerial works.

Key Features:

  • Perfect Fit: Snug fit for the Mavic 3 body (tested on Standard, Cine, and Enterprise models).
  • Sensor Clear: Does not block any VPS (vision) sensors or the air intake/exhaust.
  • Easy Installation: Slide-on/clip-on design for quick deployment in the field.
  • Optimized for Performance: Minimal drag and balanced CG (Center of Gravity).

Recommended Print Settings:

  • Material: PA6-CF (Nylon with Carbon Fiber) or ASA is highly recommended for professional use due to UV resistance and stiffness. PETG is acceptable, but avoid PLA for long-term outdoor use.
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm or 0.6mm.
  • Walls: 3-4 loops for maximum strength.
  • Infill: 15-25% (Gyroid) - try to avoid any infill. Use only walls.
  • Orientation: Print the part vertically (standing up) for the best surface quality and structural integrity.
  • Supports: Use Supports under the overhangs/protrusions. Tree supports are highly recommended for easy removal.
