Reversible Respirator Marking Clip (FULL/EMPTY)

This reversible marking clip enables quick and easy marking of full and empty breathing air cylinders or pressure vessels – ideal for, e.g., fire departments / breathing apparatus workshops.

Side 1: FULL
Side 2: EMPTY

The clip is simply clamped around the bottle neck, instantly showing everyone the status of the respective breathing air cylinder.

Assembly / Use

• depending on status turn to “FULL” or “EMPTY”
• clamp clip around the bottle neck
• clear marking visible even from a distance

Print Notes

⚠️ An AMS is required for printing (multi-color print).

The design consists of:

• white core
• white border, which protects the edges of the colored areas
• colored surface + white text for very good readability and solid connection

Total thickness: 1.4 mm
(2× 0.4 mm color layer + 0.6 mm white core)

Due to the low material thickness, the clip is sufficiently flexible/bendable even when made of PLA Basic.

• Inner diameter: approx. 38 mm
• Total thickness: 1.4 mm

Practical Test / Material Recommendation

I had the clips (made of PLA Basic) tested in two large breathing apparatus workshops for an extended period.
Even with PLA Basic, no significant signs of wear were observed with proper use.

✅ PLA Basic works well
✅ PETG is recommended if the clip is frequently twisted/bent (more durable)
