Model Information:

Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, has been home to the Boston Red Sox since 1912 and is the oldest active stadium in MLB. It is famous for its eccentric dimensions and intimate atmosphere.

• The Green Monster: The absolute landmark is the 11.3-meter-high wall in left field, called "Green Monster". It stands extremely close to home plate, making it an easy target for batters, but also turning many home runs into simple hits ("doubles"). There is still a manual scoreboard in the wall.
• Pesky’s Pole: The foul pole in right field ("Foul Pole") stands extremely close (only 92 meters), allowing for the shortest home run in the league. It is named after player Johnny Pesky and often signed by fans.
• Curious Geometry: Because the stadium had to fit into an existing city block, the field is completely asymmetrical. There is the famous "Triangle" in center field, where the fence bends far back.
• Atmosphere: Traditionally, Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" is sung in the 8th inning – a ritual in which the entire stadium participates.
• The Red Seat: In right field, there is a single red seat amidst the green stands. It marks the longest home run ever hit there (by Ted Williams, 1946).
