Description
Differences of the remix compared to the original:
Heavily optimized for 3D printing with better proportions based off the official NGE figurines. Thicker spiral region, with the blades, as well as the handle, also with decreased lenght. 10mm hole inside for 1 meter tubing. Sliced into parts with connectors for easier assembly and glueing.
This is a remix of a supper accurate model of the Spear of Longinus/Lance of Longinus made by Mr. The Rich on sketchfab. Made to be 3d printable.
It is 250cm in size. Proportions are based on the official rei ayanami lance of longinus figurines. Optimally sized for people 180cm in height. (You can scale it up to your liking not advisable , remember that the spiral part should be around your head, with blades above)
The model includes a 1 meter 10mm hole ( with tolerances ) for putting an alluminium tube inside (could be something else), to prevent the handle form wobbling. And multiple hexagonal connectors for ease of assembly, being 4mm in diamater and 5mm in height. Size tolerance 0.4, height tolerance 0.5.
I've split the modified model into many parts, with connectors in Orca Slicer.
The 24cm parts are suitable for 3d printers with build height min. 245mm in height.
The 35cm parts are suitable for 3d printers with build height min. 355mm in height.
The full unsplit model is included.
The full unsplit nohole model is included.
A small scale 25cm model is included.
DO NOT PRINT THE NOHOLE MODEL. USE IT FOR REMIXES. IT IS TOO WOBBLY AND WEAK.
Heavily recommend you to split the model yourself, and add the connectors based on the characteristics of your printer, if you're struggling with wobble/tolerances
Advice for printing:
(They are based on my 3D printer artillery sidewinder X1, you can do otherwise if you are familiar with the capabilities of your printer) (DO NOT TAKE EVERYTHING FOR GRANTED, EVERY PRINTER IS DIFFERENT)
-Heavily recommend you to slice the parts beforehand, and test the tolerances of all the connectors. Keep in mind that the printer may lose precision at such heights, sanding or cutting some of them may be required.
- I've used 2 wall perimeters, 0.2 layer height, standard line width, 10% gyroid infil. Would recommend better settings for something sturdier
- Z hop heavily advised for tall and thin parts, Do not use too high of an acceleration, use no more than 60mm/s speed for the handles. For the blades you should use no more than 30mm/s, heavily recommend manual tree supports from: https://www.printables.com/model/1201551-manual-tree-supports
-Print the parts in their original orientation, use supports only for "SpikeBottom" segments and Handle1 (flip it 180 degrees)
Assembly:
Mount the handle parts starting from the bottom onto the tubing of your choice (must be rigid, 10mm in diameter, max 1meter in lenght). Then connect the spiral parts, then connect the blade parts. (Pretty straight forward) Sand or cut the connectors if they somehow don't fit. Glue the model if required, mine is strong enough.

I think this is one of, if not the best cosplay props of the Lance of Longinus you can 3D print (for free).
I have spent a lot of time, looking for something which will look cool and be super accurate to the real thing, I love this design. Huge thanks to Mr. The Rich for designing something as close to the original, while also looking much cooler. Structurally, the handle itself is not wobbly, but the spikes kinda are.
I am not keen on people commercially selling this model for profit, unless you contact me, and I agree with the proper terms.
