🔹 Features

  • Fully articulated (print-in-place)
  • No supports required
  • Flexible segmented body and tail
  • Prints as a single piece
  • Beginner-friendly
  • Great as desk toy, fidget, or gift

🔹 Printing Tips

The latest flexi collection is available https://makerworld.com/uk/collections/20495141-flexi-toy

The eyes are designed as a tight press-fit, so no glue is required 🙂

To install them, gently press them in using the handle of a tool (for example, a support removal tool) — this gives better control and prevents damage.

If needed, you can slightly warm the part in your hands or scale the model up by 1–2% for easier insertion.

The fit is intentionally tight to ensure the eyes stay in place without glue.

Hello, I tried to print the axolotl in such a way that I could insert glass eyes into the eye sockets, but there is no file where the eye sockets are suitable for glass eye inserts. Is there a separate file for this

A 6mm eye version/profile available 🙂 What size eyes are you trying to insert?

6mm Eyes but the model is only available with filled eyes even if want to print only the Axolot without eyes

Everything is already included by the author The 6mm eye version uses separate eye parts and modifier settings in the print profile. If the preview shows eyes already installed, that does not mean they are printed as part of the body

seemed to not be level on the first segment so it has an ugly bottom with some spaghetti but other than that it’s great

Thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify: issues like an uneven bottom, first-layer artifacts, or spaghetti are almost always related to printer setup (bed leveling, Z-offset, bed cleanliness) or filament condition (e.g. wet filament), not the model itself. The model is designed to print flat and clean on the first segment when the printer is properly calibrated. I’d really appreciate it if ratings reflected the model quality rather than individual printer or material issues — especially since the model is shared for free.

it’s a brand new printer and this is the one model that had this issue so I don’t think it’s the printer

I can also clearly see the same issue on your example photo 5 on the head
