The counting board is an educational learning tool for primary school children. It supports the playful learning of mathematics, especially:

• Counting
• Adding
• Subtracting
• First calculation strategies (e.g., groups of five and ten)

The model consists of:

• 2 rows with 10 depressions each (20 in total)
• Each row is visually divided into steps of 5
• Reversible coins (one side red, one side blue)
• An integrated drawer for storing the coins

• Ideal for representing numbers up to 20

• Usable on both sides:
  • Red e.g., for Plus / Adding
  • Blue e.g., for Minus / Subtracting
• Supports visual learning and color assignment

• Located under the counting surface
• Space for all coins
• Ensures tidiness and prevents loss

🎒 Applications

➕ Adding (Addition)

1. Place e.g., 5 red coins in the first row
2. Add another 3 red coins
3. Count all occupied indentations → 5 + 3 = 8

➖ Subtracting (Subtraction)

1. Place e.g., 10 coins
2. Flip or remove 4 coins (blue)
3. 6 coins remain → 10 − 4 = 6
