Guitar Hero

A new figure, this time for the friends of rock from the Flower Power era. The Guitar Hero! It is a model from the "Ducks" series. This collection will also be continuously expanded, as I continue to dedicate myself to new inspirations on this theme!

Link to the collection: Figures

Size: Length = approx 11cm, Width approx 8.7cm, Height : approx 9.6cm

The models have not yet been painted so you can better see and evaluate the print quality.

Model Information:

The model consists of several parts, which were created in the Bambu Lab Slicer, and can also be printed in different colors, for those who have the option. As an example, I have colored the separate objects here, in the image below, in different colors to illustrate this.

Post-processing of the model:

The model requires supports, which have already been set up in the 3MF file. I did not use supports underneath the guitar strap, as the small printing errors can be easily removed with a bit of sandpaper! A scalpel, which every 3D printing creator already has in their drawer as an accessory, is also very helpful here!

Some post-processing on the figures is required from model to model.

Especially with such complex models. But that is quickly done!

If desired, this can also be avoided by using supports here too!

Many small details are incorporated into the model, making it necessary to print with a layer height of 0.12mm, or even less. The guitar also has many individual small details, which I have enlarged so that they are still clearly recognizable even with a 0.4mm nozzle.

PS: The guitar strings are missing, as it was impossible to implement them… .

The 1.75mm diameter filament was too much to use as strings… .

Unfortunately, due to the lighting conditions, it is not possible to capture all details true to life in these photos!

Print Information - Material and Build Plates:

  • I printed the models with PLA Basic from Bambu Lab and the Support for PLA/PETG filament. I only used the Support for PLA/PETG filament at the interfaces!

  • Build Plate: SMOOTH PEI - Plate also known as the High Temperature Plate, without adhesive.

Print Settings with PLA Basic:

Wall Lines: 2

Wall Generator: ARACHNE

Detect Thin Walls: Yes

Layer Height: 0.12mm

Infill / Infill Pattern: 15% / Lightning

Smoothing Type: NO SMOOTHING

Seam Position: BACK

Wall Generator: Classic

Support Type: TREE MANUAL

Support Style: TREE - ORGANIC

Support/Raft Base: Standard

Supports Critical Areas Only: Yes

Support/Raft Interface: Sup.PLA

Note: Please decide whether to ADDITIONALLY support the guitar strap in the section below with a suitable filament as a separation layer, or to print it as I printed it myself! However, this requires a little post-processing, which can be done in less than 5 minutes! Please also note the information on page 6 of 6!

Important Note:

On the underside of the guitar, an additional brim with a diameter of 8mm has been added to increase print bed adhesion!

Boost Me (for free)

If you like the model, I would be very happy about your support with a boost and a thumbs up!

Have fun printing!
