Zotac RTX 3060 - 120mm Fan Shroud
Print Profile(1)

Description
This adapter is designed to replace the failure-prone and often noisy stock fans of the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 (Twin Edge / AMP) with a high-performance 120mm case fan (e.g., Noctua, be quiet!, or Arctic).
By performing this "Deshroud Mod," you will significantly reduce the noise level of your GPU while improving thermal performance through higher static pressure and more consistent airflow across the heatsink.
Technical Specifications & Print Settings
- Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS is highly recommended. (Avoid PLA as it may soften or warp under high case and gpu temperatures).
- Infill: 15% - 30% (Gyroid or Grid for structural integrity).
- Wall Count: 2
- Supports: Depending on orientation, minimal supports may be needed.
Installation Guide
- Disassembly: Carefully remove the original plastic shroud and the two small stock fans. Do not remove the metal heatsink from the PCB!
- Mounting: Screw the 3D-printed adapter onto the graphics card. (4 x M2x4 needed)
- Assembly: Screw your 120mm fan onto the 3D-printed adapter. Use the standard case fan screws.
- Connection: Use a 4-Pin PWM GPU adapter (Mini-PH plug) to control the fan via the GPU software (solder the case fan to one of the old fan plugs), or connect it directly to your motherboard for manual curve control.
Why this Mod?
The stock Zotac fans are notorious for bearing issues and rattling over time. A single 120mm fan can move enough air at much lower RPMs, transforming the sound profile from a high-pitched whine to a quiet, low-frequency hum.
