AMS 2 Pro Lattice Dry Pods
Print Profile(5)

Description
IMPORTANT : This model is made for the AMS 2 Pro only
My take on the very famous AMS dry pods…

I do not pretend to have increased performances compared to other existing models, I just designed this kit myself as I did not like the look of already proposed pods, and I did not have satisfying printing results with some of them (venting design too thin/flexible most of the time)
I am using spool containers which have this lattice design which seems to have a very good venting performance and liked the look a lot!
So I transferred it into my AMS dry pods design that I optimized for a maximum silica volume (complete kit take approx. 450g of silica beads)
The mesh has a fine pattern and you should be fine with silica beads of minimum 2mm of diameter.
It is compatible with most round hygrometers which have a core diameter of Ø40/41mm and up to 14mm depth. With a front flange of Ø 47,5mm max and a total depth of 17mm
The rest of the features are typical of what you can expect :

I personally use ASA for this kind of part to be sure that it can sustain the temperature of a drying cycle inside the AMS 2 Pro (and I can also dry the silica without emptying the containers), but you should be fine with ABS or maybe PETG (not tested myself)
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM LID CLOSING ISSUE (the lid does not close tightly, leaving a gap) : your AMS is probably not properly assembled from factory. It is an easy rework tho : follow the firsts steps from Bambu Lab wiki to re-position the black “main frame” correctly. You do not need to remove it completely, just remove the 2 rear screws and gently wiggle the black main frame, it should move down a bit further into its correct position and let you install the pods while having the lid perfectly closed.
07/07/2026 update : new version 2!!!
Following your comments about printing difficulties, I have adjusted the shape of the rear pod to increase its bottom surface area. It will improve the adhesion to the build plate thanks to the bigger contact surface.
You can re-print the rear pod only if you had failures previously.

If you want to complete the “lattice” look, you can match the feeders to this dry pods with my “covers”, look here 👇
