Description
Sunshade for a rifle scope. Moreover, it adds a protection for a scope lens and a nicer look :)
Uploaded model (both versions) has these parameters:
- inner diameter: 57,0 mm
- outer diameter: 66,0 mm
I use this sunshade for my rifle scope Vector Optics Matiz 3-9x/50mm but it can be used for any other.
If you need to adjust the size, just use scaling in Prusa Slicer (or others). No more modifications are required, please check below:
Scaling for your scope diameter:
How to scale properly? Here is a simple example:
- inner diameter: 57,0 mm (provided model)
- inner diameter required: 42,0 mm (your scope)
- scaling factor: 42,0/57,0 = 0,7368 * 100 % = 73,68 %
- scale only X and Y axis, not the Z axis!
Printing:
- PLA or PETG (preferred)
- 3+ perimeters
- infill 20-30%
- avoid crossing perimeters
- no supports
This is based on Sun shade for rifle scope by lentchr - Thingiverse with adding extra protrusions and a tiny design tweaking :)
