Glasses Case
Print Profile(1)

Description
After a bicycle crash on black ice, redesigning a glasses case for a 100 kg full-body impact turned out to be more efficient than changing habits.
The old case failed. The glasses survived.
Weak point eliminated.
Slim. Strong. Pocket-friendly.
6-wall 3D-printed case with an ergonomic curve and orientation-free insertion.
Designed to survive what ordinary cases don’t.
Tested in daily use for over two weeks.
Photos show the case after real-world use.
In jeans, it’s barely noticeable — comfortable while walking, running, bending, sitting, or driving. It stays out of the way.
There is no cap by design.
A cap slows down access, which defeats the purpose of reading glasses: quick use when you need them.
This case is not designed to babysit your glasses.
If a smooth plastic surface can damage them, the issue is likely with the glasses — not the case.
Note on text:
The model itself contains no embedded text, even though text may appear in photos.
This is intentional, to keep the model simple and easy to modify.
You can add your own text directly in Bambu Studio — it’s quick and easy.
Printing & Scaling Instructions
Glasses shown in photos: approx. 143 × 38 × 30 mm
Where:
- Length (143 mm) – overall width of the glasses, temple tip to temple tip when folded
- Height (38 mm) – maximum lens/frame height
- Depth (30 mm) – thickness of folded glasses (front to back)
Fit this model at 100% scale.
A small cut-out test piece is included on the second plate.
Use it for fast printing and fitting checks of the glasses profile — width and height.
- Print the test piece
- Slide your glasses through — expect slight resistance, not friction
- Adjust scale if needed and repeat
Glasses length is measured separately.
Add +5 mm to the glasses length to account for the bottom of the case, so the glasses sit fully inside without protruding from the opening.
Once satisfied, apply the same scale to the full case.
