Description

Boost Me (for free)

I spent most of my remaining filament making sure the model prints correctly. If you like or enjoyed this model, or are just charitable, I would appreciate you boosting this model so that I can afford more filament. Thanks!

This is a 1:1 scale replica of a block of Kontakt 5 ERA used on various Soviet and Russian Tanks, like the T-72, T-80, and T-90. The block measures 26*10.5*7 centimeters cubed. These blocks can be combined with the included connector to create a(theoretically)infinite wall of ERA. Use this model however you please, whether for mounting on your car for extra protection against hit-and-runs, to fragile objects to ensure mutual destruction, or to yourself as Stalinium™ grade armor.

There are two print profile versions, one for display use or non durable applications, and one for cosplay or active applications. The non durable profile used 3% infill and only 1 wall loop to minimize the amount of filament use, since the print is so big. This means the print can break easily. The durable profile uses 7% infill, also to minimize filament use. This profile should be used when you need the print to withstand real world conditions like a convention or outdoor weather.

The text on the top of each block is not authentic, at least from what sources I gathered information from. It is only there to help people who may not know what the ERA block is in identifying it, and to show that the ERA block is Russian. I have limited access to sources and would appreciate any fact checking or feedback on the shape, size, and other features of the ERA block. Thanks!
