Description

Introduction:
This two‑part insert splits a BambuLab reusable spool into two smaller spools, perfect for neatly storing filament leftovers or sample lengths. It simply clips into the original spool and uses the existing anti-rotation feature for a secure fit.

Assembly instructions:

  1. Prepare the printed parts
Make sure both insert parts are cleanly printed.
  2. Install the lower part
    • Take the part with the cutout for the anti-rotation feature.
    • Place it in the center of the empty BambuLab reusable spool so that the cutout lines up with the spool’s anti-rotation key.
    • Press it down fully until it sits flat.

  3. Attach the upper part
    • Take the second part with the tongue.
    • Align the tongue so it can slide into the groove of the lower part.
    • Push the upper part down onto the spool until tongue and groove engage securely.

  4. Mount the original top of the Bambu spool
    • Place the original Bambu Lab spool top back on as usual.
    • Rotate it until it locks in place and everything is secure and free of play.

  5. Wind filament
You can now wind two separate filament leftovers or sample lengths onto the two new sub‑spools.
