The birdhouse is a multi-part construction and features a removable roof, allowing the interior to be easily cleaned or inspected. The design is intended for post mounting, ensuring a secure stand and protection from predators.
â ď¸ Note on the base plate:
The base plate is not part of the model. This allows for maximum freedom in adapting to individual needs.
It is strongly recommended:
- to make the base plate from wood or another weather-resistant material
- to incorporate small drainage holes to reliably drain rainwater or condensation
đą Recommendation for interior lining:
For a species-appropriate and pleasant climate inside, the birdhouse should be lined with natural materials, preferably wood.
Wood regulates humidity significantly better than plastic, has a temperature-balancing effect, and is better accepted by birds as a natural nesting site.
