Description

Uprated Side Pods for the Kamtec Mini Racer/Pro 1/12th Radio Controlled Car. With Battery Strap ports.

These side bumpers are engineered to allow side impacts flow to the side mounts, avoiding common issues with steering components breaking. One night several cars were retired due to side impacts, one losing their esc and others most of the steering. They are designed to be mounted on the battery tray pillars, and work off the plate with the provided retainer band. They do however have battery strap fittings, for those that wish to print the “Kamtec Mini Racer Pro Battery Stays v2.0” in the collection.

TPU 95A is recommended when printing the side pods and bumper, as other grades may prove too soft. An alternative would be to make the holes smaller before trying a more flexible grade. As is, they are in the sweet spot for me when using Standard Generic TPU settings.
