Description

Unlock the heat of the deep earth for your tabletop campaigns.

Presenting The Lava Guardian, a highly detailed miniature perfect for 28mm/32mm fantasy tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or wargaming.

This model features a spherical body of cracked obsidian rock, designed to look like molten magma is glowing from within the fissures. It is topped with writhing tentacles ending in watchful eyes, guarding its territory from all angles. The figure is pre-based on a detailed dungeon stone plinth.

THE LORE: Chronicles of the Magma Vaults

Deep beneath the surface world, where ancient dwarven mines intersect with the primordial heat of the planet's core, things should not live. Yet, arcane runoff and raw elemental fury have birthed the Lava Guardians.

They are not creatures of flesh, but sentient constructs of cooling magma and unyielding stone. They are the immune systems of the deep dungeons, rolling silently through uncharted caverns. Their many eyes are always watching, acting as eternal sentinels over forgotten treasures and sealed doorways. To stumble upon one is to face the concentrated heat of a volcano, brought to life with a singular purpose: incineration of intruders.

Printing Information:

  • Included Files: STL file of The Lava Guardian with integrated base.
  • Recommended Printer: Resin (SLA/DLP) for maximum detail, though high-quality FDM prints are possible with fine tuning.
  • Supports: Supports are highly recommended, especially for the overhanging eye stalks and the underside of the sphere where it meets the base.
  • Post-Processing: The model shines when painted with OSL (Object Source Lighting) techniques to make the magma cracks appear to glow against the dark rock armor.
