Description

The 1958 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible stands as one of the boldest stylistic statements of late‑1950s American car culture—an icon born at a turning point when Pontiac reinvented itself with flash, power, and futuristic ambition. It wasn’t just another GM full‑size car; it was the division’s declaration that it could compete with the era’s most glamorous cruisers, blending luxury, performance, and dramatic design.

The 1958 model year marked a major stylistic shift for GM, and Pontiac proudly advertised it as “The Boldest Advance in Fifty Years.”
While earlier ’55–’57 models were cleaner and more restrained, the ’58 Bonneville embraced the era’s fascination with chrome, sculpted lines, and jet‑age flair.
This was Pontiac’s moment to break from its conservative image and step into the spotlight as a performance‑minded, style‑forward brand. The 1958 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible isn’t just a car—it’s a milestone.
It represents the moment Pontiac stepped into its golden age, blending style, performance, and bold design into a machine that still turns heads nearly 70 years later.

So to proudly commemorate this great car, Bambu labs maker lab's image to 3d made this car and after some hours in cad I made the wheels spin and added the details that the AI missed and messed up.

Since this model is very wasteful. I rigorously tested how much filament the nozzle would actually need to purge then the final result was a model that's

73 grams with only 72 grams of waste.

I made the assembly to be very straightforward  and not need any glue just snap the semi-cylindrical clips to the chassis once you've slotted the wheel and axles to place.

                                    Enjoy! And happy printing!
