The Audi quattro (also referred to by Audi as the Urquattro) is a sports coupé from the Audi brand. From spring 1980 to mid-1991, 11,452 Audi quattros were produced. It was one of the first non-off-road vehicles to be manufactured in such numbers with permanent all-wheel drive and played a major role in the success story of Audi’s quattro drive system. In 1983, Audi founded quattro GmbH and has since offered permanent all-wheel drive for numerous Audi models.
