Description

UPDATE Compatibility with X2D Confirmed

Info: see comment section

Dear MakerWorld community,

this is my first model.

It is designed to be used with even two exhaust fan kits, including the clamps that connect the pipes to the unit. The model is open at the bottom by design and is intended to be used together with a waste-collector system such as the Panda Den (which I use myself).

UPDATE

Added print profile for slightly higher version to accommodate Panda Cushions.

UPDATE

Finally, a closed-bottom collector for people without a waste collection system below. ATTENTION: I did NOT print it myself; please get in touch if you do.

Please bear with me — I am still quite new to 3D modeling 🙂

🙏 Big thanks to @user_2605208401, who kindly allowed me to upload my interpretation of his original work and to credit him here.

I got panda cushions on my p2s, between the bottom of the p2s printer and the panda den. This model isn't tall enough to go down into the opening of the panda den. This model does not take into account the increased height due to having the cushions on the bottom of the printer, so the model needs to be longer/taller. Has anyone remixed this or have you made the model yet? I used the biqu poop chute and extended it by plastic welding it with filament and soldering iron to fuse it together. it is ugly as you know what but it's been working. Using a fnatr filtration system on the right of the poop chute, and the bambu external ventilation system on the large vent to the left of the poop system. wondering if I could get another external vent system and if both would work together off of the bambu software or if I have to stick to using a separate system in addition to the bambu controlled task system on the back left.

I will boost you with as many as I got if I get a version that's long enough to work with both exhaust systems and reach down into the panda den with the panda cushion feet on.

Like mentioned in my product description, the height of the cushions is not taken into consideration. I also have the cushions installed in the meantime and am working on a longer version. Let’s see if it will be possible because there is a maximum length that you can print as one piece and if this length will be enough at the end, I need to double-check.

From my experience, the system will allow you to run two exhaust systems, even though sometimes it does not recognise them, but they still work. The system counts them as one single unit; basically, you can change the value for one and the same value will be applied to the second one.

Really appreciate your work on the closed bottom variant here! I like the separate collection box approach.

I printed this last night and finally fitted it up today. Great print. love the thinness. I previously had the one from Biqu for the den itself and it is wide. I had to do some trimming to get it to fit around my cable management and was trying to figure out a solution once I put the BL exhaust stuff on the back. Thenonly thing I see and not sure if it will be an issue yet or not, is I printed the regular as I d ont have the Panda cushions. I just have the regular P2S feet, but the shute is short of sitting on the Den.

Hi there, thanks for your comment. I am happy to explain why I made it a bit shorter. It is due to the vibration of the printer and the risk that it might collide with the panda den, ending up falling off. Please let me know if the shortness becomes a problem for you. I am happy to work on a version that is a bit longer and therefore maybe less base so that the base will not hit the entry of the den while printing.

Im somehow missing some height? I'm on a stock p2s, or am I meant to print the extended version? Can't let this draw the rating down, it printed perfectly and all fits together nicely

Thank you for your rating, much appreciated. 🙏 Would you like to send me some pictures, and we can have a look together? I did not print this version myself, only designed it. The closed version only has this option; it cannot be combined with the other two. Basically, it will not work with the extended nor the shorter version.

It's a terrible picture but you get the idea, but I just looked at the pics and I think it was actualy meant to hover as I saw in earlier replies with the panda den. I think I'll need to "attach" the shute to the printer so it can hold itself on there while the bottom is hanging

Thanks for the picture. Yes, you’re right — it’s intentionally meant to hang on the chute and not touch the bottom. I wanted to avoid any risk of collision caused by printer vibrations.

simply curious is using two exhaust fans natively supported

They work but occasionally the printer spits an error, yet they still function.

After a few unsuccessful other models, finally the first really functional and usable model for X2D with external fan on both sides. I am surprised how well it holds up. Really thanks for this design and sharing it.

Let me see what I can do. I do not have experience with a closed bottom that can be opened. I will try out something in the upcoming days. Please be patient though ;)
