Bill of Materials
Description
Ran out of that one specific color for your pixel art project? Or do you want to create beads in colors that don't exist in stores (like Silk Gold or Glow-in-the-Dark)? This parametric generator allows you to print a precision batch of custom "Ironing Beads" (compatible with Hama/Perler Midi) in any filament you have.

đ§ Behind the Design (For Makers & Moderators)Â
While the individual output units appear as basic primitives, this is a fully parametric OpenSCAD batch-production engineering utility. The algorithm utilizes procedural nested for loops to generate dynamic, scalable manufacturing arrays. It automatically computes precise global centering offsets (e.g., -(Count_X * total_w)/2) based on user-defined X/Y matrices. Crucially, it executes precision boolean subtractions (difference()) using strict epsilon tolerance variables (eps = 0.02) to ensure mathematically perfect, manifold 3D meshes without zero-thickness artifacts or Z-fighting. This makes it a structurally sophisticated mass-production tool.

đ ď¸ Customizer Features
- Batch Size: Print a small test sample (5x5) or a massive bulk pack (20x20) at once.
- Dimensions: Fully compatible with standard 5mm pegboards, but you can also generate "Maxi" (10mm) or "Mini" (2.5mm) beads by changing the diameter.
- Spacing: Adjustable gap between beads to ensure they print individually without stringing.
đ¨ď¸ Print Settings (CRITICAL)
- Material: PLA Only.
- Why? PLA melts at a temperature that works well with a household iron (on the "Wool" setting).
- Warning: Do NOT use PETG or ABS. Their melting point is too high; you will melt your pegboard before the beads fuse.
- Adhesion: Use a clean PEI plate. If your adhesion is poor, these small circles might come loose.
- Layer Height: 0.20mm.
- Color: Great for using up the last few meters of a spool (samples).
đĄ How to use:
- Print the beads.
- Remove them from the build plate (a scraper helps).
- Place them on your standard pegboard.
- Cover with baking paper and iron as usual.
