This is an Euler's square of size eight (also called a Graeco-Latin square) realized as a sliding puzzle

The task is to move the pieces so that each outer and each inner color appears exactly once in each row and in each column The last picture schematically shows a possible solution

Printing

Although eight different colors are needed, only very little filament is required for seven of them The second plate must be printed with the eight different colors However, only about 30g of filament is needed for each, so the pieces and tiles can therefore also be printed with leftover PLA filament The first plate contains the frame and the latch for the sliding puzzle The first picture shows all printed parts

Assembly

After all parts have been printed, the small tiles must be pressed into the pieces Obviously, every color combination must be made (see picture 3) The piece where the inner and outer color matches the color of the frame is not needed - this creates the empty space for the sliding puzzle (in my print, this is the White/White piece)

Afterwards, the pieces are placed into the frame, paying attention to the tongue and groove positions Finally, the end piece of the frame is angled and then pressed in (see picture 4)
