Description

I designed an another 3D printed minigame. This one is called Rise of the Half Moon.

Rise of the Half Moon is a browser game from Google. Last summer I have used up most of the mobil data I had, which forced me to use my internet conservatively. I would open my Internet, load minesweeper and I was opening the game with my right hand, while cosing my internet with my left hand. It was my perfect victory. But one time I accidently opened another game, which led me to discover Half Moon and go through a five week addiction.

That experience also made me realise that I was I board game nerd all along (I have no idea how I haven't noticed this for such an long amount of time. I have +20 original games an won awards with some btw.).

Rules

At the start of the game each player gets three tokens. Players need to arrange tokens on the poard to gain  the most points. During each turn players place a token. Once they're finished they took another token from a sack (You need a sack to draw the tokens blindly) to ensure they hoard three tokens at any given time.

Each token has an up and down state (pointy up, flat down) jut like a map. Allign acordingly.

Two of the same tokens neext to eachother is worth +1 point.

When you make any move that gives you points, yo should claim your area with cover pieces in your color.

If there are no connections between tokens they wont be considered as being next to eachother therefore won't give you any point.

Two of the contrasting tokens is worth +2 points.

You can replace cover pieces if your move includes a token previously covered.

A token can be placed without gaining any points for future moves.

Tokens that form a chain matching with the phases of the moon is worth +(lenght of the chain) in this case three.

Chains can be overtaken which give the player continiuing the chain more points than the previous player. Which makes them sisky but great pointbringers if you can continue your own chain.

Winning

Once a game is finished players will count their points that accumulated throughout the game and add number of cover pieces they have on the board. Player with the most points will emerge victorious.

Boost Me (for free)

At 50 Boost I'll release 5 BRAND NEW MAPS just for you my Serenading Serious Serpents.

Assembly

Build 3 of each phase (all 8 of them).

Pegs at the side of moonhalfs should allign with the dents in the token. For ease, place one moonhalfs first (if present the cresent) then push the secont from above.
