Description

Transform your aquarium into a natural underwater landscape with this detailed root.

This model is designed to mimic the look of weathered driftwood, providing a beautiful and organic centerpiece for your aquascape. Beyond its aesthetics, it serves a vital function for your aquatic life. The twisting roots form multiple arches, tunnels, and caves, offering essential hiding spots that reduce stress for smaller fish, betta fish, shrimp, and fry.

The intricate texture of the wood is perfect for attaching epiphytic plants like Anubias, Java Fern, or Bucephalandra, allowing you to create a truly integrated and mature look in your tank.

Key Features:

  • Realistic Texture: Detailed bark and weathered wood grain.
  • Functional Shelter: Multiple openings and hollow interiors provide secure retreats for tank inhabitants.
  • Versatile Size: Works as a main centerpiece in nano tanks (e.g., 20-40L) or as a detailed accent in larger setups.

Dimensions:

  • Height: 12 cm (approx. 4.7 inches)
  • Width: 16 cm (approx. 6.3 inches)
  • Depth: 12 cm (approx. 4.7 inches)

🖨️ Print Settings:

To ensure the best results for aquarium use, please consider the following tips:

  • Material:
    • PETG: For long-term submersion, PETG are preferred as they are more resistant to water degradation over time than standard PLA.
    • PLA: Can be used, but may slowly degrade over many months/years underwater. Ensure you use pure PLA without harmful additives.
  • Supports: Yes, supports are required due to the overhanging arches and internal caves. Tree/Organic supports are highly recommended as they are easier to remove from the complex textured surface.
  • Buoyancy: 3D prints are naturally buoyant.
    • To ensure it sinks, print with a high infill percentage.
    • Alternatively simply glue it to a slate rock base before putting it in the tank.
  • Layer Height: 0.16mm is recommended to capture the fine wood texture.
