This bust depicts Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a major figure of the 20th century and a universal symbol of non-violent resistance. It is inspired by the most emblematic and widely disseminated photograph of Gandhi, the one that shaped the collective image of the Mahatma throughout the world.

The interpretation adopts a classical sculptural approach, faithful to the real proportions of the face and its natural expression. The frontal gaze, calm and determined, conveys the inner strength and simplicity that characterize Gandhi. The essential features — the clear skull, round glasses, slender nose, discreet mustache, and marked lines of the face — are deliberately accentuated by clear volumes and well-defined planes, to ensure a strong and immediate reading of the portrait.

No idealization is sought: natural asymmetries, the hollows of the face, and the marks of time are preserved to respect the human and historical authenticity of the character. The bust is limited to the head and upper torso, in accordance with the tradition of classical busts, and rests on a simple and balanced base, designed to support the composition without diverting attention from it.

Designed for 3D printing, this model prioritizes the readability of shapes, the solidity of volumes, and a clean silhouette. It pays homage to Gandhi not only as a political and spiritual leader, but also as a man, whose thought and commitment have profoundly marked modern history.

The sculptural interpretation follows classical bust principles, remaining faithful to the original facial proportions and natural expression. The frontal gaze, both calm and resolute, reflects Gandhi’s inner strength and humility. Key features — the bald head, round glasses, slender nose, subtle mustache, and deeply defined facial lines — are emphasized through clear volumes and strongly articulated planes, ensuring a powerful and legible portrait.

No idealization is applied: natural asymmetries and the marks of age are intentionally preserved to maintain historical and human authenticity. The bust is limited to the head and upper torso, in accordance with traditional sculptural conventions, is supported by a simple, well-balanced base designed to remain visually secondary.
