Description

This is a very specific solution to a very specific problem. The Pfister Ashfield LG42YPOC single handle faucet has no means of maximum temperature limits, it simply provides whatever water temperature the hot water tank is set to.

To protect children water temperature should be no higher than 49c. This print limits the travel of the center valve to strictly off and on, and the outer teeth perfectly spline into the outer edge of the valve to prevent rotation. A desired temperature that is comfortable for hand washing can be obtained, and the closest sline picked to lock the temperature onto the valve.

Minor clean up may be required following printing as the first layer can be slightly larger than the final dimension, I lightly filed this edge away. The chamfers in the center provide the valve full travel to open and close.
