The threaded portion of the hinge pin will break off in the lid, rendering both unusable, if you are not careful. &nbsp;I use 100% infill on the hinge pin and no supports. &nbsp;My key to success, however, is to lubricate the threads of the hinge pin and do a practice run screwing it into the lid, without the base in between. &nbsp;Be gentle, so it lubricates the inner threads of the lid. &nbsp;After making sure the pin screws in successfully, you can assemble the box. &nbsp;Again, be careful not to apply too much force to the hinge pin.&nbsp;Infill percentages for the base and lid need to vary depending on the type of filament. &nbsp;For example, glitter PLAs need a high infill percentage (possibly up to 100%) to prevent seeing the infill pattern through the outer shell. &nbsp;Most other matte or general PLA/PETG filaments will be good with a low infill percentage, like a default 15%. &nbsp;You can experiment with the percentages and patterns and adjust them to your taste.&nbsp;Like all prints, this needs good bed adhesion. &nbsp;Make sure to dial in the right temperature settings for your filament/workplate combo. &nbsp;&nbsp;Follow these tips for a high chance of a successful print and avoid all of the mistakes that helped me learn these lessons.

Make sure to lubricate the threads on the hinge pin and inside the lid. &nbsp;Adjust the infill pattern and percentage, based on your preferences and the transparency of your filament. &nbsp;Inland Matte PLA was used for the scaled up print in the photos, so 15% infill was satisfactory. &nbsp;Inland Twinkle PLAs, however, require something closer to 100% infill to avoid seeing the infill pattern. &nbsp;If you want to see the pattern, keep the infill percentage low and enjoy. &nbsp;Using a prismatic build plate can leave a nice pattern on the top and bottom of the box, but make sure your bed temperature is high enough for good adhesion. &nbsp;Use a brim for the hinge pin to prevent it from breaking away from the build plate.

Scaled to 250% with additional walls

I print with supports just of the pin hole on the bottom of the box. otherwise it should screw together easy and has a small dimple to keep it in the closed position,
